Miller Le's Integra

At my school, Universal Technical Institute Sacramento, the name Mr. Le is forever whispered in the campus halls.  "Mr. Le's Integra has 800 hp"  "Mr. Le is just a fan of imports." "I've beat Mr. Le before." Most of the words said are merely rumors, well, most are.

Recently I've had the fortunate experience of learning from him in the Power and Performance class.  From him I've had many questions answered and have learned much about tuning, the aftermarket, and racing world; They are fields which I have much interest in and where I wish I may work very soon.

This is a picture that I shot this past Sunday.  Of all the cars that raced that day, this was the car that I wanted to take a picture of the most.  He bought the GSR new back in 1996 and has since then only made it faster.  At one point it made 861 horsepower to the wheels but has been de-tuned due to the stress that the power puts on the longevity of the car's structure.  On that day I witnessed it run an 11.06 quarter mile.

I personally was really proud with how this photo turned out.  First off, there was a track official standing right behind it, so I had to delete his head.  The pic went through several sequences of sharpening. and the B&W look isn't exactly full B&W (and I don't just mean sepia).  There is still a slight hint of color left, it's just really feint.
